Re: Accrington Carnival The Aftermath

Well I`ve just got back from Hull after a 2 +half hour gig in a packed Durty Nellies and I`m blinking well jiggered I hope your all very pleased with yourselves for the hardship and suffering you`ve caused me

Seriously we both really enjoyed it today, considering that in 10 years this was our 1st ever float trip. It was brilliant to see the whole posse singing along with all the songs (I think Cart On probably became ingrained upon your souls after about the 8th rendition) but i thought there was a pretty good turn out after the downpour of the preceding hour. Sorry I didn`t make it up to the field after we`d unloaded, we just needed to sit in a dark place listening to Carter `til it was time to set off, hope you sold plenty.

I`m now going into a coma til tea time so make it late aft to collect the genny Macca.

3.52 ya wimp.. I have just finished processing the pics.. was up and at em at 8.30 .. taking photographs and getting pee wet through all day... home for about 5pm and processing pics till 4am.... I watched a bit of TISWAS reunion on Telly while I was doing them (I did the dying fly in the center of birmingham at the end of a 50+ lads ring a ring a roses on a roundabout in the early hrs of the morning.. I also did the dying fly on the center circle of fratton park after being chased off the home end by a rather large amount of portsmouth fans...But all that in another life..) ..

Gonna finish this bottle of bianco am part way through then a couple of hrs kip before the joys of fathers day

Pics in 4 sections... War scenes. Cobra martal arts, Peel park stuff, floats and processions.. around 300 pics.. see sig..

UKCowboy .. I missed the pea and ham soup at the end of the day and am currently fantasising about it...Your not in it ... just the pea and ham soup

Back home now. Great to meet you at Peel Park, and now to be able to put some faces to names. Hope it was a successful day for everyone.

Re: Accrington Carnival The Aftermath

Yep, we missed again, Macca. I was doing the "travelling salesman" bit - carrying some sample goodies and pointing people in the direction of the stall where they could buy.

Congratulations on all your efforts.
