i am sure that the club on the whole is accessible to all, however it is clear from early discussions that there are perceived barriers that we must make people realise do not exist...

Going to football has traditionally been seen as a white male pastime. I can remember being embarrassed by the abuse black players got twenty years ago, and looking at the Wycombe thread sounds like it's not entirely gone.

It just means that clubs can't assume that black people will feel comfortable coming along, but if we make a bit of an effort in initiatives like this to say 'we'd like to see you' & run a few training sessions for kids, that will send out all the right messages. If it just brings another 100 people to each game, how much extra income does that work out at over a season?

yes they should. Thats the point of the thread. If they aren't going to h ave the stock then why not have somebody else get the stock and sell it instead.

This was suggested late last season and we still got ****** wet through. Accrington is like an Island</ST1, it attracts rain like a tart attracts flies. These things should be on sale with the Programmes this time of year and on to April. That are we buy a roo? There's no f in roof.........

Re: accrington stanley diversity forum

Not sure about this one.... Yes lets atract more fans of all creeds and colours however !!!

I'd like to see the ground full of course i would but we as a club need to get the basics right, the team of course thats fine the facilities ??? we and the club have loads to do, we only get one or two chance's at attracting new fans, if they come and get wet thru they wont come back !!

I would like to ask a member of the board (This is not a dig, the board have my very full support) would you invite a freind to the FES to stand on the Clayton end and get wet thru ?? Do you think they will enjoy it ? do you think they would come back ??

The few staff we have are busy enough, we need football in the community to get out their into the schools sell the club to the kids get the players into the schools meet the kids the fans of the future thats what Burnley and the Rovers do, it all boils down to cash can we afford more staff i dont know what i do know is that the staff we have cannot give any more they are already very busy.

Give us a green to the premier league.:engsmil:

Re: accrington stanley diversity forum

The Diversity Forum may not be launched yet but it was set up without consulting the fans and without inviting any fans. Only when it is made public does the club say email them if you want to join and that was part of a messageboard thread to answer criticism.
