Re: Accrington Stanley Squad
Worries for me particularly if Kevin Mcmoves on is the left back slot it took a little while for him to settle but once he did he followed in the footsteps of Jacobson in giving a very balanced left hand side which ini the past we have struggled with.
Also need that target man signing sooner rather than later

Re: Accrington Stanley Squad
Expect a lot of Sligo players to be at acci next year,a great signing would be Gavin peers who was at Blackburn, and is now one of the top defenders over there---get him and things could really take off !

Re: Accrington Stanley Squad
How would that pan out F19 presumably Sligo players will be under contract till at least their season in Ireland finishes which is around October/November or do players have things in their contracts about interest from other Clubs that perhaps would not involve a fee?

I was thinking the same when reading F19's post !!! No doubt Cooky has a few lads he's like to bring over from the Emerald Isle...though there's always an abundance of players released from English clubs to have a trawl through !!!
I heard somewhere that big Exodus Geoghan had been released or was out of contract.....Now that guy is in the mould of the typical SOLID centre half !!! He's had chances elsewhere, wages might be a stumbling block..... but worth a look???

Must admit I also vaguely remember reading along similar lines but it does seem an odd arrangement?

I've read it too. I suspect somewhere on these boards.
Not too strange really, playing English Football League will be seen as the next step for the majority of the players over there I suspect - there isn't much in the way of progression is there?

Would love to see Sunbeds back home but have no doubt he'll be at the Dale next season.
