What a great performance! Well Done lads and a big well done to all those who went down there to support our boys.

Getting a bit annoyed at the commentators saying that we were physical, more like clinical!

PROUD!

Enough said...

Absolutely no atmosphere in the Dog & Partridge, Heaton Mersey. In fact, nobody there except me...which was quite fortunate, really, as there was only the bar staff to witness a middle-aged bloke in a replica shirt, jumping up and down like a madman...three times!

Well done, lads...onwards and upwards!

Fantastic performance!!! So many times over the years I've seen Stanley in good League positions and then blow it with substandard performances in important games. However, this time around we just seem to be getting better and better.

I'm keeping my feet on the floor because there's a hell of a long way to go yet, but I was proud of the lads tonight.

Re: Accrington Stanley v Exeter City

Monday nights bad for me, didn't get home 'til 10pm, no access to updates in the meantime.... desperately tuning in to 'The Bee' on way home, nothing, too late, game over, no mention... get home, on with Sky Sports News... zilch... manage to get son-in-law, who watched on telly... he was quite p***ed, understandably so. Then come on here to 'read all about it'.. thank you, those who posted.... got tears in my eyes now, not been like this since my two daughter's weddings!!!
I was 16 yrs old when Stanley lost out in '62... I'll be 61 when we return... so my reversal in age directly corelates with Stanley's reversal in league status..(not that I claim any credit for it!!). but, good omen, eh!!

Brilliant! It ain't over till the fat lady sings, but I think I can hear her warming her vocal chords.
First time I've seen a game on Sky, **** poor commentators (god help Stevenage), but I did like this caption - BEND IT LIKE ROBERTS

Re: Accrington Stanley v Exeter City

Congratulations on a superb performance from management and players at Exeter last night. This game is a lot about confidence - in your manager, in your colleagues and in your own ability. Stanley, currently, are brimming over with same. The blend of youth and experience and the balance of the side are (excluding the first half against Cambridge) generally just right. Also, several of the team are beginning to show they can play at a higher level as they gather games and experience (Roberts and Craney for sure among them). The two things that can stop us achieving League status now are a bad run of injuries to key players and if we take our eye off the main event during the Cup competitions. I would rather we'd not still been in them quite frankly. The Trophy may be important but a dozen Trophies wouldn't match regaining our rightful place in the Football League and getting right up the noses of Morecambe supporters just to mention a few. ON, STANLEY, ON!
