Accy Observer

For all those people who said forgive and forget after the attack the Observer made on the club and players instead of celebrating our promotion last season.. Take a look at ths weeks observer.....

A football hooligan whos supports Leeds was arrested at a Burnley v derby game.. But it would seem because he lives in Accy he has been branded an Accy Stanley Yob.. even big headlines saying that.. Some of the content suggests he was part of a larger set of Stanley yobs who tried to attack away supporters last season.. How bad does that make Stanley look ?

Re: Accy Observer

Your right kipax it is a disgrace, they repeatedly refer to "accrington stanley HOOLIGANS" as if it is fact and even refer to this phrase as coming from the police!!!.

I hope the club do something about this SLANDER

Problem is muck STICKS !! and this is dirty muck will make a right mess

Re: Accy Observer

I know the guy in question and he is a Leeds and England thug, the only time he goes to Stanley is for the big cup games where there might be trouble. I remember a few years ago when he was first to be arrested at a cup game v Fleetwood it was the first game my wife had seen and she was discussed by his behaviour and hasn't been back since. As you said just because he lives in Accrington there was no need to link him to Stanley.

Angry Re: Accy Observer

I am disapointed with this being in the locals, but on the other side of the coin the papers are only reporting on what the police have said. Considering that the numbskull in question is a Leeds fan and was arrested in Burnley after a match with Derby I find the police statement beyond belief. If he lived in Padiham would the police have called him a 'Padiham FC Hooligan'??? I think not.....
