Spoilt his C.V. with that move for a "bigger club"....Said it before he went....the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence !!! He / They should have waited for a much bigger club !!!Thanks for the happy memories J.C. & J.B. !!!

Welcome back to League Two !!!!!

Personally hope we can do the "faileys" twice next season to rub their noses in it !!! I've every confidence that Cooky & Leam will have us right for next season for our next push onwards & upwards !!!!

Yes it'll be nice to renew old acquaintances after all these years(!)

Going to Spotland isn't too bad an experience, though i'm not too sure about some of their chav fans visiting the Crown.

Don't think Coley was best pleased by the reaction of some Accrington fans at the delight of Rochdale's relegation on last nights Late Kick Off.

He did say there was going to be a wholesale clearout at Dale - makes you wonder which of our team he has his eyes on. Also said that he expected Fleetwood be able to attract the cream of the North West's pool of available players.

I think it's very unfair that Coleman should draw attention to the tiny minority of fans who wanted Rochdale to be relegated. The vast majority didn't seem to bare him any malice when he left and actually wanted to see what he could do at a higher level.

Maybe he's trying to stir up some rivalry where it doesn't seriously exist? Who knows? Or maybe he's looking for a scapegoat or two? Whatever the reason, the silly wishes of a handful of people can't be used to disguise the real reasons why Rochdale were relegated.

Re: accy v accy (rochdale)

I must confess I wanted Rochdale to come down, but that was more to do with getting the 464 derby back than Coley getting relegated.

Like he said though, it will be a tough league next season with regards to some squads, I'd expect Rochdale to be fairly serious players this time around and it will be interesting to see what kind of a squad Coleman can assemble and whether his magic (everyone thinks you're cap go and prove 'em wrong) works with a better cast of players.

Spot on. In a weird sort of way the only way most people will be glad Rochdale were relegated is to have a local match and get the chance to give John & Jimmy a show of appreciation for what they did, something they didn't get chance to do when they left.

I was glad for the derby and the local game. No dig at coley for everything hes done, just the club and the game.

Glad hes come out and said alot was his fault and that he had time to save them but couldnt. Alot of people said he hasnt had time but he has had time to get them out. Was it 3 points from safety when he took over them? Im not sure if it was that or 5 but the point is he had time, he brought in quite a few of his own players with Symes, Edwards, Long, Mconville and with that he also had a good players already inherited with grimes and akpro etc.

They`ll be up there next season, but cant see why we cant if cooky also gets in his players.

It'll be interesting if he signs a player who isn't an ex-red !

Loved the guy as a manager and I was hoping he did keep the dale up so he could move onto bigger and better things.

One thing to bare in mind though is that there is a reason why a hell of a lot of opposing fans have hated Coleman as a manager over the years and I can see the general good will of the stanley fans towards him turning after he raids our squad for players in the Summer and then is against us for two derby games next season.

As a 22 year old all i can remember is John and Jimmy being in charge. They have engineered some of the happiest days of my life and would never begrudge them for wanting to take on a different challenge BUT i really wanted Rochdale to be relegated . Not because I dislike John and Jimmy but because I dislike Rochdale. As a Town and as a Club! To me the dream team made a grave error in joining that lot as they could have done a lot better.
