Accy's strongest 11

I was pondering today who Accrington's strongest starting 11 is. I figured why not involve other Forum members.

The idea is simple; what do YOU think is Accy's strongest team?

Personally I would play a 4-3-1-2

GK: Dunbavin
LB: Jacobson
CB:Edwards
CB:Long
RB: Hessey? (Not a fan of Winnard)
RCM: Barnett
CM: Procter
LCM: Turner
CAM: Ryan
ST: Gornell
ST: McConville (Not a big fan, but the lad has done pretty good in front of goal so far this season.)

Can't argue with that tbh. Maybe Id change Long for Hessey from time to time. I'd have loved to include Craney but since signing permanently he appears to be a shadow of his former self.

That's the frustrating thing about him. Jimmy Ryan for example will work his socks off for 90 mins and get nothing to show for it, while Craney will do nothing for most of the game and come away with a great goal and an assist! Crazy.

Crazy shaker, but without his contribution last night Crewe may have nicked the 3 pts Fact.

Re: Accy's strongest 11

surely the strongest 11 is the side that has won the last two games against sides that are above them in the league....

Re: Accy's strongest 11

would imagine the strongest team would be what JC and JB pick each week as they are far more qualified than us and know there squad inside out.

Not sure if you skim-read the thread or just you decided to be purposely obnoxious but I asked who others thought was the best team if I wanted to know what JB and JC thought I wouldnt need to ask. To be fair how do you know they are more qualified than anyone else? For all you know I may be Sir Alex Fergerson...Besides we know that JC and JB show biasty towards certain members of the squad and the entire scouse population.

He is a fantastic manager but if a lad like Chris Turner had as many chances as JB relative; McConville, I'm sure he'd be doing just as well.

Re: Accy's strongest 11

I would have thought after reading Football 19 other posting after JC & JB he is the third best qualified.

Re: Accy's strongest 11

Long time red, sorry if you found my post obnoxious, wasnt intended that way,What i meant to say was that the best starting eleven is normally based on the opposition, therefore JC and JB may pick players to do a certain job, example,Long is better equipped to deal with a big centre forward, were Hessey is better dealing with a smaller quick player.
To say whos the better player is unfair, and your right i did skim thro the posts,I must try harder next time !!!
