Alan Pickup - CEO?

Flicking through my match programme last night I read a column by Alan Pickup, CEO. When did this gent become Chief Executive Officer of the club? Last I recall he resigned as a director in 2013 along with Murray Dawson.

Re: Alan Pickup - CEO?

It says as much on the 'fishy' site, under 'club info'.

Re: Alan Pickup - CEO?

We need a new leader at the top the current board are stale and stuck in the past. supporters should voice their concerns. we should be looking at promotion, we also should have a much larger home attendance.

Re: Alan Pickup - CEO?

"Looking at promotion"

Although it would be great to get promoted and play in higher leagues, I also think we need to sort the club out properly first and build better foundations off the field!!

Our stadium is probably just about Football League standard for League 2 nevermind any higher!

One of our downfalls is that we rose through non league too quickly rather than got promoted to the Conference, Had x amount of years to build the club off the field, 1 minute we was playing Unibond Division 1, Next minute were a football league club with no real break in between promotions!

This isn't a dig but what are the club doing to attract investors if anything? What happened to the 15/20 directors we appointed a few seasons ago, are they still with us?

Re: Alan Pickup - CEO?

I doubt the club can do much unless and until the ownership of the ground is resolved.
It appears (from afar) that the landlord is uninterested or unable to invest in the ground and, as tenants, any money the club put in to new facilities could be at risk next time the lease is up.

The ground belongs to Hyndburn Council F19, don't know about the terms of the lease though or when/if there's an end date

Re: Alan Pickup - CEO?

I'm not one to doubt anything I read in the press, especially such august organs as the LET, but I'm sure I recall a debate on another thread where it was suggested that the lease was due for renewal next year. Or was it next week?
