Re: Aldershot fans
Thanks, Kipax, for starting this thread.
Also , Adam Cottier , thanks.
The Aldershot supporters are deserving of the highest praise.
Their Rory poster was , erm , "uproryous". And Rory should be flattered by it.
Their drumming was astonishing - but then again , perhaps not , as they are an Army town.
Their "confetti" was a colourful and friendly bit of action.
Their relentless singing and chanting were , I'm sure , a major contribution to their ten-man side retaining a point.
I hope that our-fans-who-met-their-fans got on well ; I trust our supporters to be decent to all visitors.
Accrington Stanley and Aldershot Town have gone down such a parallel route , haven't they ? Promoted to the Conference as Champions of the Unibond Premier and the Ryman Premier respectively. (We'll draw a veil over the other Club who were promoted that year from the Doc M's)
Our first game against each other (as amateurs) in the Conference - first game last season and televised - was even more eventful than last night's gladiatorial combat !
Yes. Let's wish Aldershot well , because their success is ultimately our success.
Oh, and I agree that a tin roof overhead doesn't half help your cause !

Re: Aldershot fans
Rory said he didn't see the banner, at least it wasn't wasted as he got on for ten minutes!
Were their Nun's extra loud because the Pope had just been announced?
Their fans were ok, but when they sang 'you're not singin' anymore' when they were in the lead, why didn't they use consonants, don't they have them in Aldershot?

Re: Aldershot fans
Possibly one of the best visiting supporters this season to the Interlink. Colourful & very vocal & left us in the Clayton end a little bit behind at times. Well done to those shotties who led a late display after the match but the Ultras didn't have as far to travel home as you lot last night so we got the final word & display in. Hopefully, with the drums retuned & a good three coachloads on Sat we can give as good down at Hereford. If you are traveling down then don't stand like dummies Joinin, its fun & the lads on the park will respond & perform maybe even better than last nights performance. To quote JC "Keep the faith".

Re: Aldershot fans
drums ? - - - wot ?, ya mean drums were heard again at the interlink ? - - - thought the muppets who bought houses adjoining the ground had got them silenced. Didn't manage to get up home for a match this season but imagined you were all ordered to shout in whispers when they banned the drums !
Great posts about the shots fans - yep, we've a lot in common but lets wish them success even if we might not have the pleasure of them again next season.
