Altrincham Away 13th July
Now can't make this due to work commitments.
Just to let any would be public transport travelling fans there is a bus replacement service on the Metrolink from Manchester to Altrincham.

Re: Altrincham Away 13th July
It was a decent game.Altrincham played well, but they seemed to tire in the 2nd half.

Who was that big blonde-haired No 14 who came on in the second half? Sign him up immediately!

Re: Altrincham Away 13th July
First half Altrincham caused us problems and deserved to be level at the break, second half the changes took a while to gel but we looked much more composed on the ball
The Number 14 was Marcus Carver who had a good game just missing a goal and he will go up a level, like the look of Watson I think it was in the second half caught the eye at Darwen as well.
All in all another cracking afternoon in the Sun.

Give me a break, is this Marcus?

Yes, I'll give you a break, it's Marcus. Reckon he'll do well for us this season and perhaps move on to greater things eventually.

I really wonder whether you're a fan and have the club's best interests at heart or just some moaning git who posts the odd whinge when you see fit.
So explain yourself...... In your esteemed wisdom..... Is Marcus not good enough or do you genuinely think Stanley will be in the Conference the season after next???
Who do you expect to turn out in the Stanley Red??? On our Budget?? On our gates??? Van Persie ???
The lad (Carver) deserves a chance. Beattie's influence may work the oracle and we may see the benefit of the gaffer's experience.
But Hey, Ho.....let's write somebody off before he gets a chance to prove himself.
I presume the lad has been at the club since J.C. was in charge, so maybe, just maybe, we may have an unpolished diamond on board???

Re: Altrincham Away 13th July
League Two is a difficult place to learn your trade as a young footballer but I have seen enough of Marcus to know that a goal in the Red shirt will give him a huge boost and the confidence to move it on and stake a place for a regular first team spot.

Don't think yer judgements the best Frank! Seem to recall yeh saying Toto was a potential star? That lad was released in Jan n still without a club, as far as i know? That would never be the case in my view, if he had the potential yeh saw in him.
