Re: Another Auction....

When clubs get things presented to them to commemorate games do they not usually keep them in their trophy cabinets/rooms or museums etc., not sell them on ebay. With Stanley's intention to have a museum in the future I would have thought that this item which was presented to commemorate Stanley's centenary would have been kept for an exhibit.

Re: Another Auction....

Sorry Lee, but who amongst the Stanley faithful would want a Rovers signed ball? Stick it on their website - one of their suckers (sorry supporters) might want it

Re: Another Auction....

An autographed ball signed by the Premier League Title holders, presented to Accrington Stanley to commemorate their Centenary and people are still complaining about the quality of items being auctioned???

This is a genuine piece of Stanley history. It seems sometimes we have a go for the sake of it. What do you want Lee to put up for auction... Paul Beck's big toe??

Come on give the lad a break.

I wasn't having a go at Lee, I just can't think of a single stanley fan who would want it. Now Paul Beck's big toe on the other hand .............

Exactly, and it should stay a genuine piece of Stanley history not be sold on ebay. Surely the club is not that hard it is being reduced to selling bits of paper for a couple of quid, and autographed balls which have been presented to the club.

Spot on Jeff. That's exactly what I've been thinking.

I have a bit of toilet tissue that stuck to the sole of my shoe during the Boston game. Perhaps that'll be auctioned soon too?

Its not as if its the ball used in a FA Cup final. Can't see any significance in hanging on to it for a museum.Sell anything thats not necessary is good biz.Every cent helps.

******! Got pipped at the last minute on the signed Rory photo - not that I could've done anything about it as I was trekking round Asda doing my 'big shop' at the time.
