Re: Any Partick Coverage?

Only thing I've been able to find so far is on Sky Sports Live Score Centre under friendlies on page 7. Shows the score as 0 - 0, but whether it's updating I'm not sure because most scores are showing as 0 - 0.

Re: Any Partick Coverage?

No coverage Doug but have had texts from some mates up there. We're losing 1 nil by a deflected free kick apparently. Also Welchy has had to go off with a groin injury. I'll post again if I hear any more from them

We've lost 1 nil but apparently played really well, referee was apparently awful - pure conference quality!

It was the hi-viz top he and the linemen wore they were that bright they could be used at the end of a runway or pier.

Re: Any Partick Coverage?

Having just recently returned, yes the team played reasonably well, unlucky not to score on a few occasions, combination of weak shots, good goalkeeping and lucky defending. Friendly atmosphere and friendly crowd, would be interested to find out what the crowd total was, but apparently about 30 Stanley supporters present. Referee and his linesman did not know the rules of offside etc. Worse than conference standard and these are supposed to be national referees, god help the Scots, but according to the home fans, they are used to this standard or worse. Seems like whichever side of the border you are you get total a*******s running the game.
The actual goal that Partick scored was due to slack defending from a free kick where the attacker ran straight through our back line and headed the ball into the net.
Team as I remember it was - subs in brackets:
Dunbavin, Richardson, Rocky, Cavanagh, Boco, Mullin (Proctor), Mangan, Roberts, Doherty (Todd), Craney and Welch (Foyle - I think) but I may be corrected on this

Actually, the free kick just flew straight in from their left back.

You're not a linesman are you?

Re: Any Partick Coverage?

Quicktime link to goal and the double save.

You will have to ff through some awards ceremony first.

Re: Any Partick Coverage?

It was 2 firsts for my daughter this match;

1 first proper football match

2 first Stanley match

She was shouting for them and excited at times though I need to teach her the finer points and rules. Should have set her on that ref for his incompitence.

Apologies from where I was sitting it looked as though a Partick player went through the back line - no I am not a linesman nor an assistant referee either
