Anyone else see this?

From the Blackpool Gazette:-

MICKY Mellon couldn’t hide his delight at seeing Peter Cavanagh named Blue Square Bet Premier Player of the Month after the Conference leaders won six matches out of seven, drawing the other at Mansfield, and scored 18 goals in the process, conceding only four.

Ever present during March was midfielder Cavanagh, who capped an outstanding month with a goal in Saturday’s 4-1 win at Bath.

It’s a tremendous transformation for the 30-year-old Liverpudlian, who started the season on the Fleetwood fringes and looked set to be released on loan for some action. And no-one is happier for the former Accrington skipper than boss Mellon, who said: “It’s thoroughly deserved because any team needs players like him. Peter makes my team better and is central to what we are trying to achieve. We are delighted to have him in our team."

Can't be bothered discussing the merits of peoples prejudices towards what Cav did or didn't do......suffice to say Im very pleased for our most successful ever captain. Well done Cav.

Although I'm still hoping in vain the wheels fall off and Fleetwood crash and burn.

Re: Anyone else see this?

I dont really mind Fleetwood as a club, more local away trips the better for me

Their fans are not the most welcoming bunch though, those that went to Northampton away last season will testament to that. A certain service station confrontation

Anyone with a long memory can recall when it kicked off with Fleetwood in a big way circa 1989/90. Only time I've seen police with dogs go in at the Crown. I'd prefer 'em not to come up, local club or not.
