Can agree up to a point, But wasting time from virtually the start (as claimed) is a bit much in my view.

Re: Argyle match thread
I think the problem for me is that three points were there for the taking. Yes, the disruption caused by the injuries didn't help and the Plymouth fans reaction to the injuries to Joyce and Lindfield were outrageous but Belford was time wasting from the word go and whilst any point away from home is a good one I came away feeling that it was two points dropped rather than one gained and those two points could be vital by the end of the season. I was talking to a Plymouth fan on the way back to the car who couldn't understand why we had come for a point when we could so easily have taken all three. It may be a confidence issue after the recent run and, if so, i hope it helps us to push on. I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.

Not really, mate. There is a big difference in keeping possession when the ball is in play, and when it is out of play.

If time wasting is persistent when the ball is out of play the Ref. has the option of issuing warnings, yellow cards, and by adding time on for such offences, if the Ref didn’t take any action then blame the Ref,
I agree it isn’t the kind of play we want to see from Stanley but it’s a case of every point is a point nearer to survival

Re: Argyle match thread
I know theres a few of us like a good moan, but we are not giving the team enough credit for a battling performance, instead we are talking about time-wasting !!!.
We dominated the first half and should have gone in with a lead, against a team with a new manager, few new players who were trying to create a impression.
Yes,our performance may have warranted three points,so lets be positive on a much improved display.

If you try to keep possession when the ball's out of play you may well find yourself being kicked by one of the other side's players ......
Well, if you're Welsh you might ................

Re: Argyle match thread
Good to see that Nicky Hunt was discharged from hospital yesterday - Reds? relief as Hunt is able to leave hospital (From Lancashire Telegraph) - thought I though the fishy site would have been updated with this info ... we all remember the Tom Bender episode
Leam obviously wasn't too concerned about the head injury ... "I’m sure he’ll pop his head in at the club at some point this week"!

Cheers fer that Whalley Red, Leams probably battling like hell before the transfer window shuts? must be hardest job in league given our position financially.

Sorry, f19, but you are quite wrong in at least two ways. Have another look at my first post on the game. My first three words said "A workmanlike performance". And secondly, I do not like a good moan.
We are talking about time wasting because it suggested a negative attitude. There is no doubt that there were three points there for us and I feel that we lost two. Our approach to the game allowed Plymouth too much initiative, and it certainly allowed their fans to get behind them. I travelled back on the train with some Plymouth fans for part of the journey, and they could not understand our approach to the game.
My final words on this one!
Pleased to hear that Nicky Hunt is ok.

Re: Argyle match thread
Question, I have heard that Plymouth was Nicky Hunt's last game of his loan spell, yet the fishy site saying he will continue training with t'reds. Can someone please update me with the situation and if he is staying - great.
