although it is an outlet and it is a good thing, its only about 5% of what I would like to see. This is by no means a knock of the club because obviously it would be a large undertaking at this particular time but, I think that a town centre outlet that is purely Stanley is an absolute necessity. From there you could book match tickets, season tickets, function room, event tickets, buy merchandise, join the OSC, book away transport or just lollygag and have a brew or summat. I'd like to see one next week but if we aint got one in ten years then I'd hop eth eOSC would be in good enough shape by then to look at it.
I seriously think that it is not far off do-able depending on the extent of our current merchandising operation (the club that is). If that is making enough money to sustain a full time wage and a couple of overheads then I think that, with some help from the local council regards rent and tax, perhaps the whol;e operation should be shifted a mile south. The club shop itself does not need to be the best of the two of them.
But considering where we have come from over the last four years then we are nowhere near used to the idea of having to have this. Maybe in three or four years we will have sufficiently caught up with ground work and team building etc to be able to speculate a little bit?
