Re: Barnet Match Thread..........
Now we have calmed down !(well a little bit anyway),great away point, indeed reports suggest we could have won it with 10 men.
Another clean sheet, and awaiting the game report from those who went.

Re: Barnet Match Thread..........
Two positives for me. Firstly that we got an away point despite being outnumbered for most of the game. Secondly, Kevin Long will only miss the pointless JPT game.
I just hope that the profligacy disease doesn't take over our away games again. Sounds like we were very wasteful today.

No, he'll miss three games for a 'well bad tackle'. Kevin Long was sent for a professional foul = 1 game suspension. That's without checking though.

Re: Barnet Match Thread..........
I missed the Barnett sending off, Long was a definite red, but he had to do the foul.
A good move from Stanley down the left resulted in Craney taking the ball at the near post spinning around and hooking the ball towards the net but it unfortunately hit the post, we had a few more half chances through out the second half and seemed to get stronger as the game wore on.
Barnet were awful, they mainly had balance problems, and got a free kick almost every time they fell over, even when there was no Stanley player within 5 yards. Barnet didn't really trouble Murdock at all.
Referee had a stinker, Procky got booked for letting a Barnet player crash into him as he was clearing the ball. Hessey was booked for taking the ball off a Barnet player, and allowing the same Barnet player to fall over.
If we played another team with ten men for a half, we would have been soundly beaten, as it was Barnet didn't help themselves at all, they're not Stevenage.

Re: Barnet Match Thread..........
Agree with Redash, we looked the more likely team even when down to 10. However, until Craney came on we seemed to lack bite up front. Generally we had a smaller forward line than their defenders yet crosses were continually aerial instead of on the carpet. Our defence however were immense and I thought Hessey was magnificent today. Ref loved his whistle and the card count was ridiculous for what was not that sort of game. Pity about the suspensions but at least it tests the squad.

Pity we didn't get Jason Price instead of Jim Bentley picking him up for Morecambe. A bigger, stronger, experienced version of Guthrie.

Re: Barnet Match Thread..........
A good side out and a well earned point in the circumstances. Personally did think Lo was a sending off offence but happy with a point.
