Barry walked out....

Yeovil fans claim that Barry was not under contract and therefore walked out with a nice signing on fee in his pocket. Evidently you got nothing!

Negotations with Barry started straight after the Exeter game.

True?

Re: Barry walked out....

absiolute bullsht. Barry was contracted until the end of the season. If had waited until the end of the season we would have got nowt, so we took the twenty five quid whilst it was offered.

Also Twiss and Perkins were spoken to by our management but Perkins reckons he has a big move lined up for June and Twiss did not want the rigours of league football so stayed where he knew he would get none.

Re: Barry walked out....

....so therefore it wasn't true.....was it?

Funny how these rumours start......especially when it's from official sources.

Re: Barry walked out....

Barry has said himself it was the biggest decision of his life to choose whether to leave or not..He was under contract until the end of the season...The only bit true in your post is the negotiations...

Re: Barry walked out....

for negotions to start with a non contract player there has to be a weeks notice to the club. so either way its our decision to let him make his own decision, not just his erm decision.

Re: Barry walked out....

Coley thought at the start of the season that Barry was not good enough or capable of playing 10 consecutive games in the conference. If you was Barry would you not question whether he would think you good enough for League 2? At the cheap end of professional football you have to take your contracts where you can before you end up unemployed. Good step for Barry moving up two divisions and playing in front of good sized crowds.

Christie's Child - you seem intent on stirring things up on here but it ain't gonna work. Even if Anthony had walked out as you claim, what would it matter. Whatever the circumstances he left in it really doesn't matter. He's gone, we've dealt with it & replaced him - end of story

Re: Barry walked out....

Sorry Accy Mad,
My info is CORRECT. Has been CONFIRMED as correct. Is already known to be CORRECT within Conference circles. Having been offered a contract 2 weeks ago, it was rejected and therefore was free to negotiate with ANY other club OUTSIDE of the Conference.

Confirmed by who? Some of the others from your knitting circle? Honestly mate, you wanna get a life. End of the day, I don't begrudge Barry moving to a bigger club in a league 2 divisions above us, whether we got anything for him or not. Good luck to the lad
