You’re right, monkey, many football fans are fickle.
But, if it seems others are more fickle than Stanley fans, it may be because there are more of them when times are/we’re good.
Stanley’s fans currently are the hard core who have stood by the club through thick and thin. But I suspect, in terms of percentages, those who’d do the same to other clubs are not much different.
Big play off games at the Wham got nearly 5k ‘home’ fans so, with average league gates as they are, you could say 50% of Stanley ‘fans’ are fickle!

Our hardcore has grown since Andy Holt took over and improved facilities and encouraged families with his annual school shirt give away, but after the euphoria of regaining our league status the crowds dwindled and our hardcore was around 1100 in October 2014 culminating in the below 1000 crowd against Hartlepool I was their and it was alarming and financially the club was nosediving, moving on to better times and the new hardcore of about 1700 to 1800 let's hope when we return these figures continue to rise.

no, its more likely that those fans who only turn up for the odd game for various reasons make sure they all attend the so called big games. if we got say 2000 home fans every game they will not be the same 2000. a fickle fan is those who only come when the side is winning and deliberatly stay away when they start to lose.

Their community Trust has got together a fair sum [ with matched funding etc ] and its believed the clubs' owners will play hardball with the receivers to buy it for as low a sum as they can [ they've had it independently valued at less than 200k given the access issues and that the most likely other purchasers [ the caravan park ] having said they have no interest in buying it but are willing to help the club/Trust by making it clear they will not assist any other potential purchaser with the access problem meaning that any purchaser other than the club/Trust would have no access to their purchase.

From what i.m told the clubs owners will buy it and then sell it on to the community trust as they will have access to grants and funding that a private purchaser wouldn't have to renovate the facilities I understand they believe they can get it for less than half the auction reserve price but I guess it will come down to how much the receivers are short on their fees for something they've had on their books and have been trying to shift for over 4 years. They have also been exploring the council buying it with an external loan and the trust buying/leasing it over a very long period

And if they got it for anywhere near that figure they will be getting a bargain in that as well as getting their ground control box back that building contains a space that's sat ready to be fitted out as a gym that the club could have use of.

Are they devious though only just taken over must have past the fit and proper test for what it's worth, they are a Honk Kong investment company specialising in hotel and casino ownership which both will have been hit hard as well as their newly acquired football club. As I posted earlier at the beginning of this pandemic all or most owners are business men and not only their club but the various business,s will be affected, some may have prospered others could be struggling.
