Bluetooth Saturday

Before Saturday's game it was announced that if you had a bluetooth enabled phone you would receive regular texts during the game.

Just out of interest, did anyone receive any? I know I didn't, which didn't really surprise me.

Re: Bluetooth Saturday

Good question BUT no idea.

Too bust trying to organise 1st time visitors who only wanted to ignore basic H & S safety and basic ground regulations!!

In fairness to the people who are setting this up, they were off to Bury after quickly setting us up to sort out their bluetooth issues.

Last week they announced in a blaze of glory this modern tecknolgy that everything would come via bluetooth. All people got was an advert and when they sent the team sheets the file was that big it crashed the network.

The experts were going to Gigg Lane on Saturday again, and from what I hear it was no better!!

Don't really think too many of our Claret friends would have been too interested either!! ( sorry lancs dave)

Re: Bluetooth Saturday

Thanks SR. I say that it didn't surprise me, because when Ricky Kirby made the announcement he really stressed the word 'hopefully'.

I heard the announcements and commented that I hadn't got one. According to my solicitor this morning you can't sue for discrimination of away fans

Re: Bluetooth Saturday

We were a bit puzzled as to why you'd want text updates on a game you were actually watching - we reckoned it's either because our lads are so lightening fast you might miss something or because the game might be so bad that you could fall asleep and miss something

Re: Bluetooth Saturday

Maybe they were going to text us with the names of goalscorers and substitutions, seeing as Ricky Kirby didn't tell us on Saturday?

I got a Stanley Crest that I already had. I had to keep an eye on my phone and accept it when it tried to connect, if you weren't watching your screen (i.e. and watching the footy instead) then you missed it!

That'll be a good feature for the coming season then!
