Book launch at Saturday's game

Hi all,

Thought I'd let you know that the book Another Bloody Saturday, featuring eight chapters on Stanley and how I came to fall in love with all things Accy, will be launched at this Saturday's match.

I can't quite believe that a small blog about the joys of following Stanley and life outside the premier league has ended up as a full blown book!

Either way I knew that there was only one place where I wanted the launch to be held: The Crown Ground with all the wonderful people that have made it the book that it is.

Thanks to Rob Heys we will be selling copies (complete with a quote from OASSC Nick on the back!) before and after the match in the bar - it would be great to see you all so I can thank you all in person for your support and friendship over the past 18 months.

It has been one hell of a journey - and fingers crossed I can write a follow up about Stanley getting promoted!

All the best
Mat

Quick - get the printer to delete Crown and insert Wham. I wish you success. I enjoyed it in its original form.

Good luck, Mat.
It's now the Wham Stadium, but it'll also always be the Crown Ground.

Some names come and go - Interlink Express Stadium, Fraser Eagle Stadium, Store First Stadium etc etc. (What was the one we nearly had - Flavoured Water Stadium??) But as Exile says, it will always be the Crown Ground.

Re: Book launch at Saturday's game

Due to the Wycombe match being called off Mat, will there be another chance at a home match to buy the book soon?....v Carlisle on Boxing Day for example?
Or have you provided the club shop with copies that we can buy now?

Really looking forward to getting my copy plus a couple more for relatives!
Well done Mat!

Re: Book launch at Saturday's game

Hopefully we'll be doing another little event before the Pompey game on the 16th Jan.

In the mean time the club are selling them online and at the ground.

Thank you to those I met on Saturday - even though the match was called off it was amazing to meet and chat with some friendly faces - It just helped cement how much I have fallen for the club.

Fingers crossed I can write a sequel before too long - tentatively titled 'Accrington Stanley - the League One years'!
