Yes it's just over 30 miles, which I think makes Peterborough the nearest league team to Boston by a couple of miles,I'm sure you will point me in the right direction if I'm wrong.

Can't be that much of a trek seeing as the Boston manager lives in Peterborough.

Where did I say anything about anyone not looking forward to playing Boston ? I merely pointed out that London Road is owned by a private company (PUHL) who have nothing to do with Peterborough United, apart from being the clubs landlord.

The nearest other league team to Boston is Lincoln, not Peterborough as you think.

According to AA routefinder the journey Peterborough to Boston is 35.4 miles the journey will take you an average time of 52 minutes.

Cant see many Boston fans becoming Posh fans in the future as they could only be bothered to bring 200 supporters to London road to watch their team.

Right then,the attitude of your landlord is a disgrace.I don't care if I lived on Mars,if its about football and a situation such as this,Boston should be getting help from any other football club that is in a position to do so.Can't quite see where Mr Hill would come into it as I presume your club would hold a lease and that would at least cover them till the end of the season(probably longer.) They could agree and advise Mr Hill of their intentions.Hill has nothing to loose as the game would be played inside of the lease agreement time frame.Actually,the more I think about it,the more I am disgusted with your club.

I tend to use Multimap for routes and it actually makes Peterborough 6/10ths of a mile nearer than Lincoln ! RAC is different as well, they must all use different side streets !

35 ish miles is nothing, it doesn't affect Man Utd and none of their fans live within 200 miles of Old Trafford

There's an omen in there. Krasner is the bloke who was sorting out Leeds Utd's finances ( was also chairman ) when they were relegated to the Championship. Maybe he might have the same midas touch

Chester practically played their youth team last Saturday, thats the only reason Boston won - thank you Mr Mark Wright

It's rumoured that Leeds are going to do the same if they go down too.

Rotherham did the same last season, they knew they were going into administration but didn't do it till after the end of the season so that the 10 points were deducted at the start of this season. Doesn't seem fair that clubs should be able to decide when they do this

They should get the points deduction in the season they go into administration, the issue of fairness as with points deduction for other FL/FA misdeamours are taken there & then & should be applied in the case of admin & the clubs should not be able to abuse this to give them rope for the season ahead

Brad Maylett and Francis Green are Boston players. It looks like they have had deductions made from their wages for CSA but Boston have not paid this money to CSA. As for Lavaflow, this is part of a statement Boston Chairman John Sotnick made in August 2005

“Boston United Football Club is owned by a company called Lavaflow Ltd, of which I am a director and shareholder. Lavaflow was created specifically as a vehicle to help Boston United Football Club achieve the move it needs to sustain professional league football. Lavaflow has indeed a number of investors, whom are all connected with football and are football fans. These investors have bought into a vision of creating a facility for Boston United that will sustain professional league football.



“Lavaflow have been funding the football club from my takeover in February 2004 and invested over £500,000 in it’s first year and approximately £200,000 last year to keep the football club solvent, in addition to keeping it competitive. Lavaflow have also invested nearly £300,000 in the planning process and I would like to reiterate that this money has come directly from Lavaflow and not the sale of any assets of the football club. All transfer monies received last season have been kept within the club. Therefore, Lavaflow’s investment in Boston United Football Club is fast approaching £1 million and as a genuine football fan, I do understand the reluctance of some of you to move from York Street.


“However, at my next fans’ forum, I expect to see those sceptics so that I may address the importance that this football club moves forward to a facility that rivals our competitors and to produce an income that will stem the losses and create a surplus to reinvest back into the club.”
