On another note, I think all involved at Stanley (inc fans) should be proud of their efforts this season in staying in the league. After a mid-term wobble, loss of influencial players, injuries and a few negative comments on this forum stating that it would not be all bad if we dropped back into the conference. IMHO I believe that the foundations have been laid for some exciting times at the FES and with everyone pulling in the same direction and with some new signings it should be an interesting time next season..The vision of all should be to make Accrington Stanley a permanent fixture in the league with a plan to build on this seasons success.
I Look forward to my periodic visits again when in the area.. On-Stanley-On!!
Pheeew.. Im off for a lie down after that lot..!!

Re: Boston saga continues
I think the Leeds' situation is crafty in that they sold the club back to themselves (in effect) but at least they declared CVA before their last game of the season even if at the time they did, it was impossible they were going to stay up. Theres a difference when the realisation with 15 minutes of the last game of the season to go, that the club are going down to 'quickly' declare CVA in the pure cheek nay hope that the 10 points will be deducted that season instead of next.
A joke if you ask me and I really feel for the Boston Utd fans - as Ive said before, the current shoddy state of the club caused by the idiots who have got away with the awful underhanded bad, incompetent running of it for years so far, have in my opinion put themselves further in the myre by trying this on and I hope it backfires on them. The Boston FANS dont deserve all this surely? The numbnuts running it deserve everything that should come their way... but theyve avoided it for so many years so far and I wouldnt put it past them avoiding a 10 point deduction and dropping a couple of leagues again this year. Whichever way its looked at Mr Evans, you are down, we are not and in true justifiable circumstances, Daggers are up.
Glad to see AFC Telford are climbing back as well (even though that was Conference and not football league, its an example I thought should be highlighted none the less)

Re: Boston saga continues
It looks like the League anticipated what might happen and marked Boston's Card so it does not look a foregone conclusion that the 10 points will come off this Season.

Joke current at MK yesterday was that Boston probably had an accountant on the bench.

Re: Boston saga continues
And it still continues - BBC Sport pages saying Conference "considering" whether to accept Boston for next season in view of recent shennanigans.

Looks as though points deduction will be applied to last season's tally.

Re: Boston saga continues
what a joke....... go into administration and avoid any sanction
perhaps in such circumstances 5 points now and 5 next season would be more effective???

Re: Boston saga continues
I heard The Conference isn't excepting them, instead Crawley Town stop in the Conference and are not relegated. So would I be right in thinking that possibly will also keep them out of Conference North/South,not sure which one they would come under being near Lincoln? So it could be Unibond for them

As soon as the league failed to take any action against Leeds then they also had to accept that what Boston did was within the same league rules.

I don't think the conference will be able to find a reason to refuse them entry.

Think there's a few rumours going round at the moment regarding the subject but I think it's more mischief making than people in the know. The official conference site refers to Boston as the Blue Square Premier league new boys.
Crawley's issues are something to with having gone in to administration previously and there were doubts about there elegilbilty. They weren't amongst the relegated clubs.
