Re: Boston sensation!!!
Feel sorry for the Boston fans, its not their fault
Worse thing is the man who did all this is now a league above Boston, he should be knocked down a peg or two

Seems like Worksop are going to lodge an appeal, may not be over yet.

Re: Boston sensation!!!
Adrian Heathcote's quoted on teletext as saying how happy he is that they're staying in the conference - funny cos I'm sure I remember him and quite a lot of their fans saying what a relief it was when they were relegated as they'd benn struggling in that league, financially as well as on the pitch.

Re: Boston sensation!!!
There's talk now that Boston will go into liquidation in the next few days. There's meeting today to discuss the 'future', but it looks as if they're going to be wound up.
Apparently, Boston haven't even applied to join any of the FA competitions next season either. Doesn't look good does it?

Re: Boston sensation!!!
No sympathy for the people who ran the club, but feel sorry for the decent fans. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!

Re: Boston sensation!!!
While I understand some of the views towards the ex Boston manager and may not share them, I think this also stinks for the double standards of people running football in this country where the rules are more favourable to the top clubs.
Another club went in to adminsistration when they were relegated last season. The chairman of that club has in turn stitched up the creditors with a paltry 1p in the pound settlement when other consortiums were prepared to pay a lot more, YET that club were not relegated 2 divisions

Re: Boston sensation!!!
Boston didnt get relegated 2 divisions for going into administration... the inland revenue put most of the preasure on. boston couldnt fulfill the terms of administration and the inland revenue forced league ruling and made it impossible for boston to play in the confernce national and they had to be relegated down a division.. one relegation for going into administration and no double standards..
The conference and boston came to an agreement that would keep them in the conference but it relied on the IR who wouldn't play ball

Taken from Official Pilgrims site:-
A public meeting has been scheduled for Sunday morning (June 17), with Boston United urging anyone with an interest in the future of the club to turn out at York Street (11.30am start).
Supporters, sponsors, advertisers and anyone else with Boston United at heart is welcome to attend the meeting which will be held in the York Street Stand and will be hosted by former Leicester City chief executive Barrie Pierpoint and Pilgrims' club secretary and general manager John Blackwell.
Also in attendance on the club's behalf will be press officer Craig Singleton and head of youth development Steve Welsh.
Please turn out in force and show that despite two relegations in the space of five weeks, everyone remains 'United' in their support of the Pilgrims and determined to shape a healthy and successful future for the club.
TM, is this the meeting you refer to?.................if so, it seems more like a rallying call than a winding up meeting............?

No idea to be honest. I was at a film festival in Bradford yesterday and I was talking to a bloke (a Boston fan I recognised because he had a Boston shirt on) who said that he'd heard that the latest rumour was that the club was going to be wound up and start next season in the Unibond League 1. He said that the club would still play at York St for the time being.
He seemed pretty sure that that was going to happen, but obviously not official.
