Re: Boston United News!

There's a lot of views on the Crawley message boards see eg:

CTFC.net Fans Forum -> ::

A lot of them are from Boston fans.

Re: Boston United News!

I really feel for the Crawley fans. I'll go on record now as saying that if ASFC EVER end up with folk like that at the helm I will walk away

Re: Boston United News!

Steve Evans' BBC TV interview on leaving Boston:

BBC News Player - Evans denies Pilgrims blame

Note especially his statement that Boston are headed a few leagues lower than where they are now.

You probably wouldn't though. The club is always bigger than the people at the helm. You would probably just have to channel your energies in to making your feelings known as much as you do supporting the club.

no, I would walk away.

Its hard enough supporting a lower league team at the best of times (3 promotions in 6 seasons) and trying to galvanise support. If we had criminals running the club, and I class the Majeeds and Evans as criminals (disclaimer for legal reasons 'it's criminal wots happenin' or crimes against football supporters or whatever) then I would have nothing to do with the club as far as spending my hard money is concerned. I would support them through the papers, and I would wear my badge and display my car sticker with pride. But I would only go to the ground if there was any kind of strike action going on.

Like I said, it's on record so hold me to it, but I pray that this club is never privy to the kind of mismanagement that Evans and the Majeeds have displayed in the past.

The saga continues:

"A football club boss faces jail after getting a substitute to carry out his community service.

Azwar Majeed, the Porsche-driving owner of Crawley Town Football Club, sent a lackie to carry out the 60 hours of unpaid work he got for an assault."

Full thread at http://www.ctfc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1734

Can't even begin to comment.
