Re: Boston's Future in Fresh Doubt?
Steve Evans = SCUM (that's a nice way of putting it due to the presence of a swear filter!)
it's a shame for the innocent fans and their secretary John....but I HATE this man!

Re: Boston's Future in Fresh Doubt?
I see on teletext over here today that Boston are trying with little hope of success to recall a winger they've lent Chester for the rest of the season as they only have 12 fit players left.

Re: Boston's Future in Fresh Doubt?
Taken from today's Lincolnshire Echo
Quote:
Crisis-hit Boston United are facing another day in court. The Malkinson family, the owners of the York Street, have launched eviction proceedings against the Pilgrims over the non-payment of rent. United owe seven months - around £30,000 - rent to the family and will go before a County Court on April 26, two days before their final home game of the season against Torquay United. "The Malkinsons will be seeking forfeiture of the lease unless the outstanding rent is met before the hearing on April 26," said a spokesman for the Malkinson family. "This is not the first time court proceedings have been issued against the club over the non-payment of rent.
|
Quote:
"The first time the rent was met, but following the second occasion, it is still outstanding. The club is seven months behind." Club chairman Jim Rodwell was unavailable for comment.
Meanwhile, boss Steve Evans admits he, and the Pilgrims' fellow League Two basement boys, are awaiting the outcome of Accrington Stanley's disciplinary hearing with bated breath.
Stanley will go before a Football Disciplinary Commission in Preston on Friday charged with fielding two ineligible players in League Two this season. The Lancashire club could be docked seven points, handing the third-bottom Pilgrims a potential lifeline.
"Everyone in the Football League knows what should happen and that is a point deduction," declared Evans.
Bury and non-league AFC Wimbledon have been thrown out of the FA Cup and docked points respectively this season. However, Wimbledon have this week seen their 18-point deduction reduced to just three by the FA. Accrington's fate will be decided by a Football League panel.
|
Everyone in the Football League knew what should have happened to Steve Evans - he should be in jail, but he got a suspended sentence. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5412612.stm Maybe the FA will give Stanley a suspended sentence

Re: Boston's Future in Fresh Doubt?
If they can stay up (due to our loss of points,) they may decide to pay the rent.If they drop, they may choose to fold-pay no rent.Feel sorry for there fans.

Re: Boston's Future in Fresh Doubt?
Jeff, first I knew about this thanks for the link.
Disgusting that criminals can gain such an advantage when innocent mistakes can carry such a potential disaster.
Still, I suppose that's symptomatic of Blair UK.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a political thread!
