Re: Brechin City

Brechin 0-0 Accrington Stanley - By Steven Mew
The game tonight against English League 2 side Accrington Stanley finished in a goalless draw. Davie White was sent off mid-way through the first half for handling a goalbound effort on the line but the impressive McLuskey saved the penalty. City were on top in the 2nd half but couldn't find the net

Match report to follow tomorrow...

The above is from the Brechin website

Here is the Brechin match report.

It appears Stanley would be at an exalted level if they played in Scotland.

I notice that the manager said that before he saw us play.

Most of Accrington's rare attacks fizzled out on the edge of the box
That sounds too much like last season to me

Re: Brechin City

No Carden again. I wonder where he is? Maybe he'll be playing tomorrow night?

Re: Brechin City

thanks for links to pics...that away kit will take some getting used to! But I do quite like it...

as for the result, shame john Miles' penalty shot was saved and we didn't take advantage of their one man deficit, although it looks like if the defender hadn't hand balled it the mullins shot was going in

I cant believe that stanley didnt beat brechin...seriously...they are 2nd division part timers in a league where the standard of football isnt that amazing ( no offence to brechin fans) ...friendly or not goals should have been scored..
