Bristol Rovers Away Thread
Bristol rovers are not a bad team.
They had something like 10 players injured at the start of the season.
If we can get a draw, I would take it now.
Are they expecting a bigger than usual crowd with the price reduction?

Re: Bristol Rovers Away Thread
I suspect the price reduction is because they feel the need to attract the good people of Brizzel.
Watched the highlights of their game against Newport and the waterlogged pitch played a big part in the game; looked very difficult for players to keep their balance and for defenders to time tackles. And there's been no let up on the rain today, with more forecast tomorrow.
Assuming the game is on, Mr. Bettenelli's and Stanley's CBs need to watch out for the long throw ins.

Re: Bristol Rovers Away Thread
Good news...the £10 concession also appears to apply to the covered and seated South Stand behind one of the goals, as well as the uncovered standing corner, which may be of interest those who don't have either duck DNA or an umbrella...
The bad news is that there's an update on the state of the pitch tomorrow...

Re: Bristol Rovers Away Thread
I'm about 15 miles from the ground. Very heavy rain and hailstones for the last 2 hours.

Re: Bristol Rovers Away Thread
Inspection at 1-00 says on fishy. looks decidedly iffy to me.

Cashy; from the opening thread of the 2011 home game against them
"Bristol Rovers’ number 12 shirt, by the way, is dedicated to the “Gasheads” – their version of the Ultras, really; a derogatory reference by a Bristol City fan to the gas works which stood near their former ground at Eastville became their “core supporters’” nickname. Did you know that Rovers were formed in 1883 as “Black Arabs FC”? No, neither did I………."
