Burnley clearout of squad!

after hearing that Burnley have got rid of a bunch of players, does any1 think that any of them could be heading down to stanley????

personally id like to see Matt O Neill and Joel pilkington given at least a trail to see what they could do!!

im very surprised at Burnley releasing Mo Camara, John Oster and Jean Valois, probably there most creative players!

Mo Camara
- going to Celtic, yes thats right, CELTIC!!!!! (Ipswitch also interested)
John Oster - he wants too much money
Jean-Louis Valois - he is only a big game player and doesnt perform against not as good teams.

I personally would like to see Joel Pilkington come to Stanley, however there isnt much chance because he is on trial with a Belgium top flight club and they seem very keen on him.
Matty O'neill would be a good squad player and would become a good first team player in a few years

yeh i heard the Celtic rumour to!, IF oster wants too much money hes an idiot cus hes hardly set the world on fire since hes been at Burnley and i personally cant see that many clubs queing up for him.
Not sure bout ur comment bout valois, i thought he was worth another year at least!

Re: Burnley clearout of squad!

I see Gravesend have released Roy Essandoh, who to my mind is probably the most outstanding striker I've seen playing for any Conference club in the last 2 seasons.

I'd rather see him in a Stanley shirt than any of these Burnley cast-offs.

I saw him last season as well, so that would be 2004 BC... Before Cottier.

Hehehe Nice one TM.Have only seen him play once and he looked good.

Let's hope eyes and ears are open at the I.E.S.

Hehehe... thanks.

Seriously though, he looked pacey, strong and was an excellent header of the ball. I don't suppose he'll come our way, as he's always been a Southern player and to relocate in the North would probably be too much.

At 29, though, he's still got a lot to offer a club and he's definitely the type of player I'd like to see playing for us.

Re: Burnley clearout of squad!

to be honest guys when I saw he had been released I thought about it. He does have a good track record. My own personal favourite to sign for Stanley would have to be Danny Williams - released by Hereford. Impressive player and exactly what Stanley need to bolster the midfield.

I Have Never Seen Essandoh Play , But As TM Describes Him , He Would Be A Great Signing For Us , ALONG With Matty O`Neil
