Burscough v England XI
So what will happen. our game against Burscough is on Tue 14th and England XI on wed 15th .
1) Will Roberts and Craney play in both..
2) Will Roberts and Craney be dropped so they can play for England...
3) Will roberts and Craney be pulled from the England squad..

Re: Burscough v England XI
Roberts and Craney will go with the England squad. I think it's a bit more important than a Lancashire Cup game against Burscough.

Re: Burscough v England XI
The main reason I like Coley is his attitutde towards every game stanley play. he wants to win every game no matter what.. Dropping the two best players so they can play for someone else (even if it is England) surely goes against the win every game of football ideal?
I agree.. the burscough game is bottom of a pile of importance. But its a stanley team and a stanley game.
BTW.. What i said the other day about they should play for England didn't include being dropped from a stanley side.. Now they probbaly would be.. so goalposts wider as they say

Re: Burscough v England XI
Surely we should be able to beat Burscough without Craney and Roberts, no disrespect to Burscough, but a team hoping to be playing league football next season should be able to beat them. What if Craney and Roberts get injured or suspended, if we are not confident of beating Burscough without them what chance have we against Morecambe, Stevenage, Grays, etc.

Worcester, Worksop, Great Harwood, Carshalton, Morecambe ... All those little teams give us a run for our money
No such thing as a walkover.. your playing the match on PAPER and that never is 100%

Re: Burscough v England XI
I still wouldnt pull them out of the England squad, we have good enough players to cover on them on the bench. But i understand where your coming from KIPAX (still sorry for the Stanley Elite photo thing )

Re: Burscough v England XI
I would be really gutted for both of them if they where pulled out of the england squad... I am sure theyw ant to go.. it would be bad for them not to..
My question is will they be.. or play both or dropped for a useless tie against burscough...
Dont worry about the pic use it all ya want.. just ask next time thats all i will always say yes..

Re: Burscough v England XI
to be honest i would prefer to play burscough without roberts and craney cause at the moment when we play so called lesser teams they seem to try the flicks and tricks all to often! Maybe time for some no nonsense getting to the byline and crossing the ball in???
