Re: Burton Albion Match Thread........

Southend hadn't conceded a goal at home since October till the other week so anything can happen - I like F19's analysis of how the game should go, just hope the team read the script

Re: Burton Albion Match Thread........

A tough match coming up on Tuesday night v Burton Albion.
I really hope that the boys can reproduce the form and effort that they produced against Oxford the other week rather than how they performed against Cheltenham.
Everymatch these days seems to be..... "The Biggest Match of the Season so far" for us.
If we play to our potential we can beat any team in our division but we need to produce the form when it is needed and we need it on Tuesday night!
Come on all Stanley supporters....once again we are needed to get behind JC, JB and the boys.
Let's set a really good atmosphere and play our part in a WINNING performance.
ON STANLEY ON!!!
COME ON YOU REDS!!!

WEATHER ...Set fair, but it'll be a 'long-johns' night Cashy !!.

WHETHER or not the Reds can de-cask ( That's a new word coined for Revived Red's delectation !). the Brewer's ???....well it'll not be an easy matter at all !.
So in my estimation another clean sheet is all that's required of the Defence, and someone to cash in on the tireless endeavour of young Piero !.
Know what ?... I'm really looking forward to it !.

Excellent result tonight. A real statement of intent.

But only 919 fans? Is that a record for League 2?

Another long unbeaten stretch smashed by a lionhearted Accy side. Well in. Can't wait until JC stops losing the dressing room.

Under 1000 again the only disappointment,.

Roll on Luton.

Maybe, but Crooks showed in his cameo how wrong Coley is to play him up front. Donkey is too kind a word for him. Brilliant all round performance from the others, especially Piero yet again and Deano's best game in a Stanley shirt? Burton must have felt they were playing against a hurricane such was the pressure we put them under!

That's the only one I hope you lose by a lucky goal!

I've got 20 quid on Salop to win the league at 11/1 as well! You can see why I was quite emotional at the final whistle tonight.

Whilst I agree the crowd numbers were disappointing, I thought the referee was one of the worst seen at the Crown. Goal against the run of play, but then we bossed the game until half time and then again for the first period of the second half, but last 25 minutes was back to the wall, literally. But there again, according to the stats, we had more possession and more shots on target (Burton actually had no shots on target according to the BBC). Whilst it was an enthralling 1-0 win it was also nerve racking. Once again though, why did Coleman take of Gornell (injury perhaps) and replace him with Matt Crooks. He is not a striker, it was like deja vu (Yeovil) watching him run on goal only to be tackled on the edge of the box.
