Re: Cammell Laird friendly
Bonjour all
Back from Merseyside... To answer a few questions...
Crooks is the guy who played at Radcliffe. Played the first half at left back and the second in midfield.
Ian Turner wasn't a goalkeeper. He played in midfield. A bit of cursory research suggests he may have been playing in Ireland.
The Stanley keeper in the second half was Welsby, the guy who played at Radcliffe.
Other than that it was the two young lads, Ben Whitcomb and Nick Walker, and Chris Lynch, Simon Nangle and Dean Overson as far as trialists were concerned.
Dean Winnard as centre forward was an interesting experiment and on another day he might have scored. I thought Peter Murphy looked good when he came on in the second half.
Got a bit of Coley at the end (though it was going rapidly dark) so have a look at the fishy in the morning for talk of trialists, match practice and Charlie Barnett.
Over and out for now
Dan
