Re: Canvassing Opinion
Quite right Ukcowboy!. According to BBC Northwest Tonight television, it's still a case of "Accrington Stanley who are they?" on their sports highlights! We never get a mention.

Re: Canvassing Opinion
Two emails received, two others registering interest (I have PM-ed you folks!) but not a lot more in the way of interest...
...there's no problem if we can't get the interest. It was worth having a go at gauging it.

Re: Canvassing Opinion
I'd have a go at it Dan - although I'm not sure if i might have too biased an opinion at the moment

Re: Canvassing Opinion
opinions are good and they do change so everyone should get involved. Come on people, don't let the same few keep trying to push the club.
The more people involved, the more the difference in opinion, the more constructive debate goes on. Lets get ASFC in the face of the Burnley Pendle region.

Heres our chance!
This is a great oppurtunity for Supporters to have their say and with a listenership of many Thousands it's a gilt edge chance to push the Club from a Supporters perspective and maybe help to shape things down the line

Re: Canvassing Opinion
The radio and press are only as good as the info they recieve... i have been bleating on about Google Page Ranking from the club but it's not forthcoming to the fishy so what chance do the media have.
If we wish to find out anything about our club rearranged fixtures etc most fans go on opposing team's web site's !! i recall one such issue when D&R had rearrange details on their site 3 days before it hit ASFC fishy.
We all have good idea's on this site and all for the GOOD of Stanley but do the club take note ?? thought not.. We need to wake up commercially and Google Page Ranking wise to put it blunt we are rubbish at both, the staff are doing their best i acknowledge that but we need to gamble get some commercial staff in, Lew did a good enough to be poached by Burnley and for the record fair play to him we all to better ourselves.
I live in Bury and they dont get as much press coverage as Stanley so it aint all bad.
We have got to stop being a Unibond outfit and become Football League quickly.

So you would welcome one or two of this forums realists (or negative people as you like to think) to registar their interest?

I'd be all for it, wouldn't do if we all thought the same.

Re: Canvassing Opinion
Cheers Google Page Ranking - was just going to mention this again by starting a new thread, but you have saved me the bother!
So far I have just over half a dozen people interested, which is enough to do something for the Hereford game (which I will be sorting out on Thursday) but NOT enough to sustain a feature from now until the end of the season.
The format will be that "the panel" will give their views on one specific topic before each game (e.g this weekend - "have Stanley turned the corner?") then short segments of each person will be mixed together to make a package.
So, this is an appeal for more people to put themselves forward - it'll just be a small contribution once a week - email me [email protected] if you are interested.
And as for those I've already spoken to, I'll be in touch
