Re: Capital One Cup 1st Rd Competition
I know I'm in the distinct minority but I'm loving the draw.
Home tie for me. Well, 90 min journey south, but as home as can possibly be1 :-)
I'll definitely be there and making it an over nighter too - any excuse for a proper pub crawl later that night!!!

Re: Capital One Cup 1st Rd Competition
Wonder if they'l offer the same to our season ticket holders Cumbrians give fans free entry
Carlisle season-ticket holders will get free entry to the club's home clash with Accrington in the first round of the Capital One Cup
Cumbrians: Fans to get freebie
The Cumbrians will take on League Two side Accrington during the week commencing August 13.
Carlisle managing director John Nixon told the club's official website: "We wanted to look for new ways to say thank you to our season-ticket holders and we said right at the off-set that one method of doing that was to grant free entry for them for the first round fixtures in the Capital One Cup and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, if we were drawn at home.
"It is a home draw and we're delighted to be able to welcome them into the ground for this fixture free of charge."
Manager Greg Abbott was delighted with the draw, adding: "All you can ask for is a home draw in any knockout competition and we're happy to have got that with this one.
"It'll be a tough game though because both sides will want to set the new season off on the right foot. There will be no better way to do that than with a win in this competition ahead of the first league game the following weekend, so we're going to have to be ready."
