Carabao Cup

Tranmere Away. Had hoped for something better. Perhaps we'll get it in Round 2.

Re: Carabao Cup

It seemed inevitable we'd get Tranmere . . . . .

Re: Carabao Cup

Well I've no idea what sort of team John and Ged will put out on Tuesday night against Tranmere. It's all different with Stanley's new management team. I would guess they may rest some of the older players but don't really know. A break from League action, but a chance to look at other players and formations in a competitive game........

Why isn't Ben Woods on the pitch?

Re: Carabao Cup

4 yellow cards, 1 shot on target - very worrying. Could be worse, we could be Morecambe, also 3 nil down & a player sent off

Text of game on the website feels like we gave it a go in second half....but now 3 nil down...so games gone....think we should concentrate on the League starting Saturday.......see you all there....

Tranmere fan on Twitter:

"Feel for Accrington fans after that. I’m sure you rotated but that was one of the worst performances I’ve seen from a team at Prenton Park."

"That Accrington side are one of the worst to come to PP. They’re in trouble this season."

I think we're in for a very lean period up until January, but I feel we will then start to get positive results and finish just below mid table. I have faith.

Talking Re: Carabao Cup

Looking at the match stats (except the most important GOALS) this morning, on the face of it it looks like we were in the game......but that Tranmere were far more clinical scoring goals. I'd appreciate any comments on this from anyone who watched on line or travelled? Failing that I guess I'll have a better idea how "bad" we are on Saturday. It's early days so we should all keep the faith and see where we are in October....

Will that coincide with the return of Coleman?
