its going to be interesting because if we get Sunderland, Birmingham City, Leeds United, Wolves, Sheff wed or wba all the well followed clubs in championship they could sell-out all the ground if allocated so expect alot of away fans in the clayton end if we draw one of the giants at the crown.

anybody we haven't played in a preseason friendly!!!to get burnley, preston, rovers, or anyone in league 2 would be a bit of an anti climax!!!

any championship team away, any league one team at home!!!

I quite fancy my team (Preston) coming to play you boys as the Missus is primairly a Wigan fan but is related to Ian Craney so follows you lot a fair few times a season too.

It would be nice to have a couple of easy ones in the first and second rounds...say Scunthorpe or Oldham...get through them and into round 3...then bring on Chelsea!

No need for the dig.

I know premier teams don't come in till the second round and those in europe until the third, what I was saying was that i hoped we would miss the teams that we are playing in preseason friendlies in this competition and play teams we haven't played before.

To reitterate i would prefer to meet a championship side away or league 1 side at home first off.

Is that clearer for every body or do i have to spell it out slowly in big letters!!!

We'll play a seeded Northern team in round 1.

It would be a nice money-earner to play a big club away, but there really would be no better welcome back to the football league than playing a club like Leeds on our ground in the League Cup.

leeds utd would be nice but can we really accomodate them? they have a massive travelling fanbase and the residents will not be happy if this army descend onto there patch.
