Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round Draw
As Rob was saying yesterday, the most money to be made will be made from TV coverage. I'd go for Newcastle, Man City or Spurs at home for the best chance of that. Possible home match against one of the 2 neighbours may be an outside chance of being shown, depending on the rest of the draw.
At this stage they tend to look for the possible biggest upset rather than the best possible football match.

Gee thanks Macca I was quite fancying Portsmouth away, nice to be able to walk to a game for once - Pompey at the Crown would be worth a punt for a home win, the club's in more chaos than Stanley with a Russian in the middle of selling it to an Arab, no signings all summer and the semi-stars they did have all offloaded.

Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round Draw
I either want to hit a team like Newcastle or get a team who we could beat then draw any of the top 4.

Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round Draw
I'd go for Man City, guaranteed to be on telly, and winnable for us. the "superstars" won't play as a team.

Re: Carling Cup 2nd Round Draw
I'd settle for from any of Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland or Blackburn away....in that order.
Or to be a little greedier.....a "winnable tie" at home and a trip to Old Trafford or Anfield in round three!!!!!
