Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
The concession price issue is always going to be a 2 sided thing between the have's and have not's. Those who have kids and those who haven't

Like you say bit steep!!! £10 would have been fairer prices.

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
Whilst understanding the need fer revenue, i reckon this has been very badly considered, to me the object of increasing revenue, is to attract people to return who do not come regularly, plus theirs a mega need to put those in charge in a better light, these prices do neither of those things n are an opportunity lost, I.M.H.O. case of cutting off yer nose, to spite yer face.

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
its the 2nd round of the carling cup £20 seems a bit steep £15 concessions is very steep. The club does need to grasp these moments as a money spinner but I personally think its a rip off. Clubs usually drop prices for these games not hike them up. But fair play try and cash in. They will fill the ground for us for that price if needed.

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
I understand the argument on the concessions as others have said that it may just put some people of attending by putting it out of the reach of some families & individuals who otherwise may have attended given it is also being broadcast live.
In fact I have just finished reading a great book regarding the economics of football and one of several reasons a lot of clubs find themselves out of touch with their grass root levels of support is ticketing prices.
In fairness to balance that up our Season Ticket prices are amazing value
I on the other hand also appreciate that these games don't come along all the time and there is a chance to maximise income streams, these if they are used towards funding the squad may just make the difference to us mounting a challenge at the Top End of the Table?
Perhaps it is not to late if advertised maybe that if people keep hold of their stubs from this game that maybe a reduced admission maybe could be offered up for lower profile home game down the line?

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
Although myself and Pete will be coming to this game, our newly initiated season ticket holder daughter may not be. Given that she is only two still at this point, I am very reluctant to pay £15 for her to come. In fact you'd be lucky to get me to take her anywhere if its going to cost £15 to get her in!!!

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
Tickets duly bought this morning. Little Em won't be going unfortunatley, if we are honest it's way past her bedtime anyway! One good thing is that students were included in the concession offer, a step forward from the Fullham game. Was good to chew the fat in the queue with cash, mab , and dav007. Between us we put the stanley world to rights!!!!

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
My dad has just been in, after attempting to go to stanley hoping club shop was open......................it wasn't
How stupid was that club hoping to cream money from this tie, puts conccession prices up & yet dont open club shop while theres an opportunity to sell merchandise whilst people were up there queuing for the tickets

Re: Carling Cup -v- Newcastle!!
I reckon the club should offer a bonus to the players, if they can get a win against Newcastle, to me it would be a fair reward fer these lads, who earn not a great deal n even have to wait fer wages on occasions.
