Thumbs down Cav injured

Cav will be out until christmas according to the fishy site.

Apparently he's suffering from a hernia. I personally think this is very unlucky for him as he's having possibly his best spell in a Stanley shirt at the moment, since Coley started using wing backs Cav's been a different player and seems to be really enjoying his footy. What a shame.

Still this should give Phil Edwards a chance to get a few games in, and he's more than capable of deputising. Come on Phil!!!

I agree this should give Phil Edwards a chance, but last Saturday Coley switched Leam to right back and brought in Branch at left back

Re: Cav injured

Poor Cav, he did say in the paper at the weekend that he was seeing a specialist about a possible hernia op - hope he makes a quick recovery & that Coley sees sense & plays Phil at right back while Cav is indisposed.

I think you three must be munchin the magic mushrooms or somethin, he is a diabolical defender! Are you having a laugh.

Hears hoping a few more of (Football Genius) Colemans favourites get crocked if this is what it takes to get our better defenders into the team FFS!!!!

Whilst I'd never wish injury on any of our players, can't say i wouldn't be pleased to see Phil have a run in the side. But sadly it is true that injury is the only way of keeping certain names off the teamsheet.

I know coley sees what happens on the training ground and we don't, but last time something like this happened didn't we go on a long unbeaten run and win a league???

All the best to Cav hoping for a speedy recovery all the same.

Excuse me but I don't recall saying anything about Cavs defending, in fact I never said anything about his attacking either, I merely stated that he has been enjoying a purple patch since we changed formation and he became a wing back. Cav plays better as a wing back as he is very comfortable going forward. I also think you're being very harsh stating that he is a diabolical defender when clearly if you look at our defence there are a lot worse. One thing Cav does, and always has done is work his socks off for the team. So to answer your question, NO, I'm not having a laugh, nor do I like mushrooms of any varity!!!

Captain Marvel has been superb these last few games and has always proved a valuble asset to ASFC whenever called upon. Because he is usually (and MOST OF THE TIME deservedley so) a fixture in the team,he is an easy target for people who feel the need to crticise him unfairly. If Phil Edwards (who I agree would like to see more of) was playing the way Cav has been lately, people would be waxing lyrical about him.
