challenge94 - part II
Some of you may remember coming on here a while back explaining my challenge94 which I am currently doing for Children In Need. Well I will be back at Accrington Stanley this Saturday for you league 2 game against Torquay. Why am I coming back you ask? Well after your Chairman Ilyas Khan contacted me a few weeks ago I simply had too. He kindly said that If I was to return to Stanley for another one off 'bonus' game he would donate 50p for everyone coming through the turnstiles for that particular game. This is an amazing gesture of which I was only more than happy to accept. I think that it is fantastic that a chairman from a lower league club has offered me this towards the fundraising I am doing.
I hope to be in the supporters bar before and after the game on Saturday and I remember from my visit before how friendly people were in there so would be good to be able to chat to people in there.
Anyway, here's hoping for a good crowd on Saturday and hope to speak to some of you at the weekend.

Re: challenge94 - part II
A forum note that charity requests [other than the sos one off] is allowed on the forum without owners consent which hasnt been sought, on this occaision will allow the news part to stay as its regarding stanley but links removed. Dont shoot the messenger this is clearly stated in forum rules & i have to adhere to admin requests. Dicussion of the event is fine but requesting donations isnt allowed here.

Hi Stanleymad, Sorry I wasn't requesting any donations I was just trying to promote what Ilyas was doing to your supporters as I think this an amazing gesture. The link I provided was to my football site that had pictures, reports, results etc on there. I have now written my report on the game on Saturday and was hoping to share this with this forum? Can I not post this link? On there is also a link to the piece in the Accrington Observer which I thought some would be interested in reading?
All in all I enjoyed my 2nd visit to you guys. A real friendly bunch of fans who were more than happy it seemed to want to chat with me. The Ultra's behind the goal, well done I thought that you were great and create more noise with just the few off you than I have heard at some larger grounds this season.
Genuinely wish you all the best not just for this season but for the future as well.
Mark

Hi Ilyas
Thanks again for your genourous donation and for bumping it up over the 50p per person. It is truly the best gesture I have had from any club throughout the year.
Wish you and Accrington Stanley all the best for the future
Thanks again
Mark
