Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
Hopefully it's a good omen. Wouldn't say no to a clean sheet, even if it resulted in a 'boring' 1-0 win.

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
Not a lot of positives out of this game . Two very poor sides , few chances for each team, First save on the hour by Dunbavin low to his right. Their goal came from a free kick that should not have been awarded, 1200 attendance, poor value for money. Not much up front for Stanley.

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
Really disappointing. Mccarten and Naismith looked useful early on but didn't threaten their goal all day. Change of formation baffling - from 442 to 433/451 meant that gray and McCarten spent last 25 minutes chasing their full backs. Unfortunately young Richardson no where near ready for this level.
Never a free kick for their goal.
Liddle MOM for me

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
All subs used then wilson goes off with what looked like a groin strain, so we finished chasing a goal with 10 men

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
Midfield is probably the weakest link at the moment no protection for the back four and lack lustre going forward with no real width for crosses into the box, it was two poor sides today but only one that got the points.

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
Carry on playing like that and we'll be in a conference relegation battle next year never mind staying up this year.
Richardson is three tiers out of his depth. He should have been sent off in the first 10 mins for a dreadful lunge. He seemed scared of the responsibility of playing CM and just drifted about stepping on other players toes. Why he is on the pitch instead of our own players I don't know.
McCarten for me did nothing - doesn't seem to be a 4-4-2 player - doesn't have the strength to hold the ball up nor the pace to get in behind making him entirely inappropriate for the direct way we were playing.
The team seems lacking leaders - nobody wanting to take responsibility - why wasn't Deano in today's squad?

Re: Cheltenham Town Match Thread......
sorry lads IMHO Cheltenham were very poor we were a lot worse, how anyone was able to elect a MOTM is a mystery, one thing is for certain we can't get any worse

Thought Joyce did alright especially since his partner in the midfield was useless
