Chester City

Has anyone seen the news on teletext about Chester City - apparently they've been issued with something called a winding up order for unpaid VAT & are due in court next week. According to the BBC sports website this could mean they are facing closure - talk about short lived celebrations!!!

They wont close the club down.. The amount of times I ahve seen such news stories and only seen one club fold and that was well documented in advance. chester will still be in business next season you can bet yer last penny on it.

Re: Chester City

Its of a "historical" nature, meaning its down to the past owners...

Steve Vaughan has reached an agreement with C&E that it will be adjurned on monday, and he'll pay the debt by the end of the month

Re: Chester City

Very funny... Yeah thats been payed (and has been all along, its just that i think they think its a good way of getting clare back if they delay admitting its been payed... but as gazza's going there now i shouldnt imagine they'll be able to afford him now)
