I know it's not "new" news but my contact's dad is part of the set up at Alty so I just thought I would let everyone know!!

Re: chester in for a stanley player

if you were a player for a team that looks pretty good for winning the title, you are already full time, highly thought of, in favour with a good crowd, part of a good team spirit etc: what would it take for you to want a move.

I thought Wrexham was a good move for Evil last year, opportunity to play for a club that shouldn't be in League 2 in front of a good sized crowd and in a cracking new stadium. But what if it was Rochdale, Bury, Macclesfield Grimsby or even Rotherham? Would the pay hike be significant enough to move somewhere new, maybe have to relocate, possibility of not getting on with the new team mates. I dont think that the money is there in league 2 and a lot of league 1 clubs to justify leaving an ambitious self-financing club like Stanley. Probable wages of around £20 000 against probable wages of around £25 000, would you go to Scunthorpe?
