Think the match reporting on the website is getting just as frustrated as JB. "Another undeserved defeat" - really?
 We had two shots on target today and by all accounts the home side dominated completely. That said, today could've been a lot worse given the circumstances and done irreparable damage to our goal difference. To say Chesterfield did completely dominate yet only won by one goal scored because of a suicide backpass is a positive for JB who is operating with half a team. The opening of the loan market can't come soon enough. |

Well my first two pence worth in a few weeks........
Positives. The back 5 where all great, the young keeper is a real find and looks solid as a rock. Good to see Deano back in and playing well. Atkinson was immense for 90 minutes as was Aldred. BUT they need help......... Young Mahoney lookes the real deal, sign him up properly, NOW. Showed some great touches in his cameo apperance and plays without fear. Oh and I found a cracking butty shop. Negatives..... We have nothing up front and our lack of goals is very worrying. Young Richardson is far better in the number 10 role running towards goal, he had 3 good runs but missed all the chances. However is tackling/ marking is pretty average to say the least. The annoying thing is he is keeping Hatfield out of his natural position, which as we all now Hatfield WILL score us goals playing there. Miller, Mingoia, Joyce, did more or less nothing for me. Obviously they where up against it with the likes of Ryan & Roberts playing but surely we must have something else to offer??? Windass & Clarke??? We NEED some experience and bite in the middle of the park, anyone got Bryan Hughes's number? Or even a Linganzi type rock. For sure along with a target man/ goalscorer this is the area we need to strengthen. Carver & Gray are not the answer at the moment, and with his physical state neither is Webber. Next week's game is MASSIVE, that's for sure. |
