Clarity Required

What is the state of play with the 10% discount for season ticket holders on purchases from the club shop bearing in mind Season Tickets won't be available to collect till late July but new kit will be available early July, presuming the Tops are £40 will we have to wait till season tickets arrive late July to claim the £4 discount or will the club have a database of season ticket holders to enable them to purchase the kit on the day of launch with the 10% discount?
I think in marketing terms it is called an early bird discount!

One step forward, two steps back?

Not a good way of looking after the people who commit to the club is it ?

Re: Clarity Required

The only justification I can see for this would be the logistics of checking 500 (this was the figure quoted on here, so may not be true) season ticket holders' names, every time someone wanted to buy a pencil or something.

Still not convincing really.

Re: Clarity Required

Why not get a card - like a loyalty card like tesco's, wh smith etc. We are all used to carrying them around. Why not do the season ticket using one of them and then the 10% discount all you have to do is swipe the card to get the discount. That way also the club can save money - all you have to do is update it all on the computer and fan doesnt need a new card every year will you. Run the discount say from 1st August -31 July every year. We have a computer system at work for the gym memberships. Everyone pays by either direct debit or annually and it works for us 99% of the time.

Does that make sense?
