Re: clean sheets under Coley
since 1921 as a Football League club we have only kept four clean sheets in a row twice
in 1945-46 John Hacking's side played Stockport home and away followed by Southport away and home. They scored 3, 0, 0, and 1. However this was not a Football League season as it had been suspended due to the war. It was the 3rd Division North West, 1st Championship. It was the only time we ever won a Championship.
In 1957-58 Walter Galbraith's George Stewart inspired side played Workington at home, followed by Wrexham away, Gateshead at home and Dalington away, scoring 3, 1, 3, and 2. However the Wrexham tie was an FA Cup 2nd round match.
Therefore, as a Football League side, this run is a current Accrington Stanley record!
I don't know whether that's good or bad to be honest!
There have been a few, but not many, runs of three in our 46 year, 2 stint stay in the Football League. Four is a record.
