Yeah, he looked ok. No idea who he was.

What happened to the £3 admission?

You mean the lad who looked the spitting image of Pavel Nedved - apparently he's called Tom Rutter & is from Wigan Academy, hope we can sign him

I mentioned this to Lee who told me that £3 & £2 was what Clitheroe had told Stanley it would be - they fibbed.

Re: Clitheroe Friendly

I did some research yesterday on google for Tom Rutter, it looks like he's played for Cheshire counties and England under 18's through that. Also looks like he was on the books at Northwich Vics last season, maybe he came as car pool with Mark Roberts!!! Although someone at the game said he was a releasee of the wigan academy I can't find anything connecting him to Wigan.

Re: Clitheroe Friendly

As yet we only know the teams in our divisions and haven't actually been given a fixture list yet, however do know that league fixtures do not start until the first week in september.

Until then we have several home and away friendlies, in fact we are supposed to be playing LumleyFC Ladies at Highams Playing Fields on sunday kick off is I think 1 pm but I will double check this for you.

sorry but it now appears our game on sunday could be off due to the pitch being knackered.

Re: Clitheroe Friendly

You may already know this but the ginger haired guy was Jason Walker who had a trial with you last year then got injured. Came to us and we fixed him during waiting for his clearance from the Scottish FA. Featured(?) in a couple of games but didn't do much to warrant keeping on. Then appeared at Barrow FC.

If Mangun wasn't good enough then Walker certainly isn't.

Re: Clitheroe Friendly

I liked the look of him last season, he had quick feet and clever passing and was surprised we didn't sign him (didn't know about the injury at the time).

But if in the meantime he has played for Morecambe (no offence CC) and Barrow without setting the world alight then he is not the man for us. Especially as we have a plethora of decent strikers at the moment.

Pavel Nedved can definitely stay! reminded me a lot of Toddy with his crusading runs down the wing. Made the second goal by not giving up on an overhit miscontrol.

The Victor fella I was told was Rodney Jack but it could easily have not been. Similar build and height, same colour but......
