Re: Coach to Brentford

Frazer Eagle rang me to tell me the coach had been cancelled. I told them I put a message on here and give me until Wednesday before confirming.

As things stand they need a minimum of 25 people to book, for the coach to still be on.

I think there are usually regulars but I'm not sure of the numbers, perhaps about 10, hopefully 10 Ultra's and we're nearly there.

I'll do some flyers and pass them out on Tuesday, with the booking details and my mobile number. Maybe I could go and collect the fare from people's homes if they're waiting for payday, Thursday/Friday.

We'll have to see how it goes.

I'm sick of recieving phone calls from them cancelling the coach it's got to the point now where I can't be bothered booking.

Assuming that it's a 52 seater coach why can't they actually act like club sponsors and make a one off offer of half price. They will probably fill the coach and make the same amount of money.

Re: Coach to Brentford

good idea, Dave, but we need 25 first, then maybe we can work something out for the future.

Re: Coach to Brentford

Thought of ringing another coach company up that might be grateful for a bit of transportation business

Re: Coach to Brentford

If they dont need a 52 seater why not take a minibus - or do Fraser Eagle not have minibuses?

I would guess the price wouldn't be a lot different, small saving on diesel but the main cost will be driver time which is the same.

Re: Coach to Brentford

I am waiting until 5pm for Frazer Eagle to decide what to do about the coach. As of 4pm nobody else had booked on, so things aren't looking good.
I am currently working on a contingency plan so all is not lost, yet.

Re: Coach to Brentford

Frazer Eagle, Have now cancelled the coach.
I've rang round other coach companies, the only ones prepared to go to London are fully booked this weekend.
The only option as I see it is a self drive mini bus. I don't mind driving as it's easier for me to travel that way.
Is there anybody who wants to come if I hire a 17 seat mini bus.

Redash posted this yesterday. Yet as I write, there is still a piece on the fishy site annoucing the fans' coach which Fraser Eagle are running to Brentford. And it's no good saying the club haven't had time to change it, because other stories have been added to the site since.

A minor point maybe, but this epitomises the lack of professionalism that Revived Red was talking about in his thread.

Update: it's now been taken off! Pity they didn't put a piece on informing fans that the coach had actually been cancelled but I suppose you can't have everything!
