Des O'Conner played once for the reserve team.
Played match in baseball boots (1962).
Celebrity Fans: Jo Whiley & Bob Harris - Both are DJ's
Rivals: Peterborough United, Rushden & Diamonds, Franchise FC (MKDons).
Recommended website: The Cobblers - Northampton Town Football Club
Year Formed: 1867
Current Manager: Stuart Gray
Ground & Capacity: Sixfields, 7653 All Seated
LOVE/HATE FIGURE: Former Chairman, Micheal McRitchie
Needless to say, the formation of the supporters' trust came after the standard behind the scenes farce. In the case of former chairman McRitchie, who was well known locally for selling china out of a barrow at the market. Having taken over in 1991, his popularity was such that the entire playing staff went on strike. With the club considered a serious credit risk, there was nothing in the kitty for printing programmes so the reading material for a match against Burnley amounted to a photocopiedsheet of A4, neatly folded. Also for his first game as director, McRitchie came on the tannoy and announced that the match against Darlington was a 'home banker'. Northampton were three down in 17minutes.
ON THE DAY 18th August: NORTHAMPTON

1999 LD3 Chester City A W 2-0
2001 LD2 Stoke City A L 0-2
2007 LGE1 Brighton & HA A L 1-2
