reading various papers it would appear we have to put up with coleman for next season,he's done all he can and it's time for change.many managers have lost their jobs even after better results than ours, why won't eric whalley sack him ??????? i don't know if my sanity can take another season like the last 2.another manager (stan ternant)springs to mind,we need change if we are to stay in the football league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: coley for another season?
I'd give him at least one more season, probably two.
He has major flaws in a) his inability to see past personal differences with regards to squad selection, and b) his tactical ineptitude. However, he has kept us in the league on a very limited budget.
Granted, only one of the players he's brought in (Kenny Arthur) has been effective this season, but that's not due to a lack of league contacts or whatever. Craney could have been a brilliant signing, but has thus far been a waste of money due to (in my opinion) his attitude but more importantly being played in the wrong position; making him ineffective. Mark King, Mark Roberts and Roscoe D'Sane could have been great new additions if it weren't for the clashes between themselves and the manager.
It's clear that both the trivial tactics and problems with players are things Coley must address if the management are to use their abilities to the full. Anyone that denies these flaws in Coley's attributes are completely deluded.
There's always room for improvement Coley, don't let idiocy and pride ruin your legacy here at ASFC.

Re: coley for another season?
How many times can you dress up the same point??
I am getting sick of seeing the same of dribble rolled out:
Get rid of him, them, that and the other
The Club are not without problems but from where I look at it we are learning, we are growing and we are a Football League Club
Accrington Stanley Dreams are made of this

From what I can gather the official line is that he wouldn't put the training in.

Please tell me which football clubs in league two, apart from Peterborough and MK Dons, do have any money. Rothereham have no money, they have gone into administration, they have been deducted ten points yet they are still ten points better off than we are. Don't tell me that Macclesfield, Dagenham, Bury, Barnet, Chester, etc. have more money than Stanley, have bigger budgets than Stanley, pay better wages than Stanley. All this about Stanley having no money, limited budgets, etc is just crap. Nearly every team in league two has no money, limited budgets, etc. Although other clubs get bigger gates than Stanley, the other clubs are paying thousands of pounds a week in interest to the banks for the debt they are in. Reportedly Stanley are not. So all in all it is not far off a level playing field, it is just that a lot of the other clubs are better managed.

Re: coley for another season?
I say keep JC & JB indefintely. As long as we are still a football league team at the end of each season, then they have performed miracles.
What with low players wages (by far the lowest in L2 I am informed) low gates, and poor overall facilities, we were favourites for relegation at the start of the season.
As far as I see it, we are like a 10stone featherweight boxer in the ring against heavyweights, and should be expected to lose every time. By the sheer fact that we are still a league club is fantastic, and the management team should be praised - not criticised!!

Re: coley for another season?
Ive had radio lancs on all day and this afternoon on the news they've been reporting Eric Whalley is saying that Accrington Stanley is not for sale this summer but he is looking for investors for the club.
