Re: Coley Sacked!
"Rochdale Football Club has today terminated the contract of the Manager John Coleman and Assistant Manager Jimmy Bell.
Chairman Christopher Dunphy stated the regrettable decision has been made following the Club’s recent run of poor form. This decision was not taken lightly and was made following extensive discussions at board level.
The Club would like to thank both John and Jimmy for all their hard work and endeavours over the last 12 months and would like to wish them well for the future.
The Club hope to name their replacement before we travel to Cheltenham for our next League Match on Friday evening."
Was always going to happen, really .....................
But they appear to have someone lined up!

Re: Coley Sacked!
Last time he was sacked, by Ashton United I recall he wasn't out of work for too long. Wonder how that turned out.....

What go,es round comes round as they say Leam could do with a second in command and maybe we could pick up a couple of bargin basement players as well.

Re: Coley Sacked!
So much respect for leam and he is doing the best he can, but I really do feel he's struggling and out of his depth.Id love leam to be a success with us, but i cant see it happening. If coley came back now we will stay up, if not i fear for us big time.

Thing is Rob, wi our funds he was obviously on a much higher wage than our new manager will be, at Stanley? so therefore what little funds we have would be better spent backing Leam, not rocket science to me,

Re: Coley Sacked!
They didn't even get a year under their belts. 3 days short in fact. That's modern football for you.
Good luck to them both.

Re: Coley Sacked!
I don’t think the Dale board had a lot of alternative
He may have got away with the bad run of results but not the drop off in attendance figures. When he took over at Spotland the common attendance was around 2600
now it’s more often around 1600

At the beginning of September last year I asked Paddy Power if they would give me odds on Rochdale sacking Coleman before the end of the season, they said they weren't offering odds on that particular market.
If he comes back to Stanley I, for one, won't be.
